High Speed Key From Paper
Far too often people are expected to capture data from paper documents at speed, but the tools they’re provided with are inadequate. The result is poor productivity and data strewn with errors.
Efficient, accurate keying at speed requires specialist software that, like RootKey, has been designed from the ground up for precisely this purpose.
Forms are designed on screen to match the layout of the document. Extensive validation can be incorporated into the entry form through simple check box selections. In most cases, setup and maintenance are performed within the data capture department, requiring little or no corporate IT resource.

High Speed Key From Image
An extension of the Key from Paper application, the only difference being that the operators key from an on-screen image rather than the paper document.
Post OCR/ICR Data Perfection
RootKey is also a supremely effective application for post OCR/ICR data perfection. Suspect or unrecognised data is flagged within each document and presented to the operator for correction by manual data entry, automatically bypassing any data which has been validated as correct.
RootKey accepts data captured through OCR/ICR software and displays the electronic form populated with the data captured via the OCR/ICR process, together with the scanned image on a split screen. The fields that the OCR/ICR software has failed to recognise, or that have failed validation are flagged for operator attention. The cursor moves from one error to the next, allowing the operator to manually key from image to correct the error. The operator can correct insert or delete characters, or re-key the entire field, which is often faster for skilled operators.
Staff can carry out the vast majority of corrections from images displayed on their screens, whilst maintaining full production keying rates.
