The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the government department responsible for collecting and publishing official statistics about the UK's society and economy. ONS has awarded Root 3 the contract to provide Image Processing Software and Support for the next seven years.
The solution will provide the business process control capability for data capture from both paper and faxes without the reliance upon master template comparison.
In addition, the solution will be capable of processing forms which are personalised to each respondent. The ONS currently process 50,000 images per day but the modular solution is easily scalable to cope with possible future increases in demand.The award of contract is for 7 years.
