Datum International Acquires Root 3 Systems
The directors of Root 3 Systems Limited are pleased to announce that as of Tuesday 16 March 2010, the company has been acquired by Datum International Limited.
Robert Allerston, Root 3's Managing Director said "The purchase of Root 3 by Datum will enable the combined business to deliver synergies that will open new market opportunities, support continued growth and provide an investment base that will secure the long term viability of the business. We are looking forward to the future and working with Datum International"
Commenting on the acquisition David Hornsby, CEO of Datum, said: "This acquisition broadens our product portfolio and significantly enhances Datum's capabilities in the ECM market. Root 3 is a high quality document and data capture business with a good product offering and an experienced management team. The Company has a proven track record of successfully designing and implementing complex high volume document and data capture projects for blue chip organisations. The interest from both new and existing institutional shareholders demonstrates their support for our rationale behind the acquisition."
In a message to Root 3's customers, Hornsby went on to say: "Root 3 has over the past 20 years established an outstanding technical capability and client base. All Root 3 client relationships and product support will continue to be managed by the Root 3 founding directors from the Bristol office."
